AWARD FOR SCULPTURAL KITCHEN ARCHITECTURE -
THE SIEMATIC PURE COLLECTION WINS THE GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2019
Löhne, February 22, 2019 | “The striking dialog between straight lines and surfaces, coupled with perfectly balanced proportions, creates a sculptural kitchen architecture that exudes unique beauty and timeless elegance.” This is how the German Design Council depicted the SieMatic PURE Collection when presenting the German Design Award – an accolade that the company from East Westphalia was able to clinch once again, this time as winner in the category “Excellent Product Design – Kitchen”.
The art of reduction, elegantly framed. The frame design is particularly characteristic of the SieMatic PURE Collection, which was internationally launched in 2018. The continuous, delicate 2 cm frame lends this minimalistic kitchen concept a striking contour and truly unique character. Developed in collaboration with the Berlin-based architecture and design studio KINZO, the design creates clear boundaries whilst simultaneously opening up new spaces for additional configuration and design options. From cabinet ensembles to wall racks, the kitchen furniture becomes a sculpture, integrating itself into the architecture like a painting.
The SieMatic China team organised and implemented the trade fair together with SieMatic Germany. Many new potential partners and potentials were inspired by the SieMatic brand. DESIGN Shanghai focuses on trade visitors, but on the last two days it is also open to interested customers.
